About the event
Singapore's manufacturing sector, which is one of the country's most important economic pillars, is undergoing a digital transformation (DT) to innovate and embrace new technological breakthroughs in order to position itself at the forefront of the value chain. The living labs in ITE's Digital and Advanced Manufacturing programme, which began in December 2019, support this DT in both technology and skills training.
This presentation discusses how these labs will enable businesses to access and experiment with digital production technology, as well as explore the application of innovative manufacturing solutions for skills development. ITE’s collaborations and engagements with the industry also align living laboratories to support the curation of industry-relevant modules, Certificate of Competency (CoC) courses in Advanced Manufacturing. The acquisition of these essential skills aims to help today's technicians advance their careers as they support digital transformation.
